How far is your office from Aroona?
About 5 km, roughly a 10 minute drive via Beerburrum Street and Caloundra Road. Bus routes 602 and 603 also connect Aroona to the Caloundra CBD.
Which court will my matter go to?
Criminal, traffic, civil and domestic violence protection order matters are generally heard at the Caloundra Magistrates Court, 3 Gregson Place. Family law matters are heard in the Federal Circuit and Family Court of Australia.
Do I have to go to court?
Not always. Many family law matters are resolved through negotiation, mediation or consent orders without a contested hearing. Whether that is possible depends on the facts of your matter.
I am not sure my problem is serious enough to see a lawyer.
Most people are not sure. That is what an initial consultation is for. Early advice is usually cheaper than fixing a problem that has been left to escalate.
