Rowena Ferrall

After completing a Bachelor of Laws at James Cook University in Townsville in 2002, Rowena completed her initial legal training at the Aboriginal & Torres Strait Islander Legal Service (ATSILS) in Townsville. She then finalised her Post Graduate Diploma through the Australian National University in Canberra in 2004, the same year she qualified to practice as a solicitor.

Rowena is admitted to practice in Queensland and in the High Court of Australia, allowing her to appear in all Courts in Queensland as well as Federally based Courts across the country.

Rowena has worked in Townsville, the Sunshine Coast and Brisbane in general litigation since her admission in 2004. After working as a generalist for several years, Rowena decided that she could best serve her community by opening her own boutique legal practice with a relaxed approach to client consultations, a manageable fee structure, as well as incorporating two furry friends who provide additional support for clients when in need.

Ferrall & Co. Lawyers were opened in 2017 in Caloundra on the Sunshine Coast, an experienced team that focuses on family law, domestic violence litigation, and criminal defence.

Rowena has successfully navigated clients through many family law issues, including divorce, parenting disputes, property settlements, and more. Her comprehensive understanding of the legal system, and her compassionate approach, ensure our clients receive the correct legal advice and the emotional support they need during challenging times.

Since opening the practice, Rowena has continued to be a member of the Queensland Law Society, Family Law Practitioners Association, and the Sunshine Coast Law Association. She has volunteered at the Sunshine Coast Community Legal Centre and supported charities such as the Rural Fire Brigade, Share the Dignity and the Wishlist Foundation.

Rowena’s commitment to achieving the best possible client outcomes, coupled with her extensive experience, means you can feel confident knowing you’re in capable and caring hands.

In her spare time, Rowena enjoys the outdoors, camping, fishing, walking her dogs, playing tennis and socialising with friends.
