To confirm your de facto relationship, the Court will consider any or all of the following factors when it assesses your situation:

Caloundra couples may seek a registered relationship with the Queensland Registry of Births, Deaths and Marriages. You must be in an exclusive relationship with one person, and at least one de facto partner must currently live in Queensland.
Other states and territories have their own criteria. For example, Western Australia requires at least a third of the relationship to occur in the state.
